Member description

GGGI is a treaty-based international, inter-governmental organization- with 45 Member States and over 22 countries and regional integration organization(s) in the process of accession – dedicated to supporting and promoting strong, inclusive, and sustainable economic growth in developing countries and emerging economies. With operations in over 30 countries, GGGI’s actions include capacity building, technical assistance, the design of bankable projects, the design of funds and financial instruments, including green bonds and other instruments, to support climate action and the achievement of ambitious climate goals defined within the Paris Agreement framework. The office in Europe will play a key role in engaging with European actors to deliver on the Paris Agreement. Julie Godin is the head of the GGGI’s European Liaison Office located in Luxembourg. She is responsible for engagement and partnerships development in Europe. Julie has over 15 years of international experience managing teams and developing strategic partnerships to address climate change and sustainability issues. Before joining GGGI, Julie worked at the World Bank (Washington DC) and the UN Environment (Paris) designing climate finance instruments, developing climate policy work and managing global programs in support climate action and the SDGs. Julie holds master’s degrees from the Harvard Kennedy School and the Ecole Polytechnique de Montreal.
