International Carbon Trading under the Paris Agreement – An Introduction and Experiences of GGGI

InFiNe is happy to announce another upcoming Knowledge Sharing Event with its member the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) on “International Carbon Trading under the Paris Agreement: an introduction and experiences of GGGI”.

The event will be held on Wednesday 5 June 2024 12h30 – 14h00 CET at the House of Microfinance (39, rue Glesener L-1631 Luxembourg) / via Microsoft Teams.

Fenella Aouane, Director and Head of Carbon Pricing at GGGI, will present the experiences of GGGI.

GGGI’s Carbon Pricing Unit facilitates access to international carbon trading aligned with the Paris Agreement, currently supporting 18 country governments under its programs. GGGI pioneers initiatives such as policy crediting and the Carbon Transaction Facility to scale up implementation whilst ensuring equitable, environmentally integral transactions.
The role of GGGI’s Carbon Pricing operations is to act as a trusted advisor to its Member and partner governments, enabling access to carbon finance through international carbon trading under the Article 6 of the Paris Agreement.

The event will be followed by a lunch offered by InFiNe.
