New Resources for Outcomes Management in Financial Inclusion from Cerise+SPTF

InFiNe is pleased to share that our member Cerise+SPTF has released valuable new resources for outcomes management in the context of growing demand for transparency on the actual outcomes of financial inclusion.

Data Collection Toolkit for Outcomes Measurement & Management

Cerise+SPTF has launched a practical Toolkit designed to guide financial inclusion stakeholders in selecting, using, and sometimes combining the most appropriate data collection methods to measure customer outcomes from using financial services.

The Toolkit starts with general guidance on the effective use of data collection methods to maximize the quality and relevance of data collected, then presents summaries around three main categories:

  • Quantitative Data Collection
  • Qualitative Data Collection
  • Mixed Approaches

For each methodology, the toolkit describes how it works in general, discusses its pros and cons, and makes recommendations for when to use it: Download the Toolkit

Outcomes Management & the Voices of Customers in Financial Inclusion

On April 16th, Cerise+SPTF hosted a webinar with Pallavi H. and Caterina Giordano from Alterfin, and Steff Deprez and Claudia Van Gool Maldonado from Voices That Count, to present concrete experiences and technical explanations on SenseMaker, a narrative-based method to collect outcome data starting from customers’ stories.

These resources intend to value customer-centric approaches to make informed decisions and adapt products and services to customer needs and constraints, helping financial inclusion stakeholders demonstrate their social impact more effectively.
