Financial Inclusion in Africa heavily relies on the deployment of digital financial services exposed to the cyber criminality. Suricate Solutions SA is specialised in cyber security and electronic payments in Africa providing assistance and services to prevent, detect and manage cyber attacks to MFI in Africa.
To help the sector deal with the prevention, detection and remediation of attacks, Suricate Solutions SA launched the first Operational Cyber Security Center (COCS) in April 2017. Based in Senegal, this center is supported by the Luxembourg Government (through the Business Partnership Facility Programme) and the European Investment Bank (EIB). It benefits from the technical support of the main public and private players of cyber security in Luxembourg and from a partnership with the Professional Association of the Decentralised Financial Sector of Senegal.
Their next challenge is to rapidly deploy these services to quickly secure key institutions in West and Central Africa and their clients.
