The BPF supports commercially viable projects that:
Projects must be led by Luxembourgish or European Union (EU) companies, in partnership with entities (companies, administrations, or civil society) based in developing countries.
BPF offers a co-financing grant of up to 50% of the total project budget, with a maximum of EUR 200,000.
Project selection occurs through a two-stage call for proposals:

The BPF is initiated and financed by the Directorate for Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Action of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs and implemented by our member LuxDev, the Luxembourg Development Cooperation Agency, in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce, Luxinnovation, and the Ministry of the Economy.
Since its launch in 2016, the BPF has supported 39 projects, enabling these companies to explore new markets while contributing to the development of the countries in which they operate.
